The Oread

When Tom was home in August, we set aside one day to finalize our locale(s) for the wedding. Luckily, his mom and stepdad were able to be here with us to look around. Each place that we visited seemed like "the place" until we met with our wedding-planner-to-be, who suggested that we not discount a new hotel, The Oread.

We set up a time to meet with the Eldridge staff ( a local hotel that owns The Oread) and we were treated to a hard-hat tour of the new building. The Oread is located just on the very edge of KU's campus, in the spot where a well-loved college hangout, The Crossing, used to sit. As soon as we stepped out onto the 5th floor terrace and took in the beautiful views of KU and Lawrence, we knew this was the spot.
